Melissa brings over 25 years of industry experience to her role at Jester Insurance, where she has developed a specialty focus dedicated to supporting the needs of schools and non-profit organizations. She’s a key member of Jester’s Equipment Breakdown program, which currently provides this unique coverage to more than 130 districts across Iowa. Melissa remains dedicated to continual learning and has completed her Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter and Certified Insurance Counselor Designations.

Melissa believes in giving back and has served in multiple roles with both professional and civic organizations, including the National Association of Insurance Professionals and Simpson College Alumni C & G Board. Melissa is also a visible member of her community where she currently volunteers as treasurer of the Pleasantville Athletic Booster Club and with her local church.

Why do you enjoy working with the nonprofit sector?

I enjoy helping individuals who have a passion for the organizations that they are involved in. These people truly love what they do and that carries into developing a program that best fits their needs.
