Mark Stearns, CPCU
With over 25 years of experience working for insurance carriers where he managed commercial claims and risk management functions, Mark brings a deep understanding of cost containment and risk prevention strategies to lower program costs to Jester Insurance and its clients.
Mark has served as a speaker both locally and nationally on risk mitigation and claim prevention strategies. When Mark is not busy at work, he has served as a Board Member for both Kids Chance and Boys and Girls Club, coached youth athletics, was President of the parent advisory committee for his children’s school, and spent 4 years as a Community Impact Team member for United Way. After relocating multiple times for work, Mark currently resides in Ankeny, IA.
What do you love most about being an insurance agent?
Insurance is really about protecting a community. This career has allowed me to work with people to solve problems during some of the most challenging times in their lives. Dealing with tragedies or destruction can be stressful and difficult, but it’s also the most rewarding part of my job.
